(June 22, 2012) -- In a dispatch on her non-taxpayer paid blog, Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske says the City of Long Beach is failing to receive millions of dollars in oil revenue because of outdated verbiage in our city's laws, and says updating those laws with a November ballot measure could correct this and bring new revenue to provide police, fire, street repair, libraries and recreation.
