Losing the War on Drugs
We should consider decriminalizing them and treating abuse as a health problem.

by George P. Shultz (former U.S. Secretary of State, now Distinguished Fellow at The Hoover Institution at Stanford University)

(Aug. 16, 2013) -- "The war on drugs that has been waged in the United States for over forty years now has failed, just as our national experiment with the prohibition of alcohol failed," writes former U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz in an essay linked below as part of a series of excerpts of his new book Issues on My Mind: Strategies for the Future.

LBREPORT.com is interested in knowing if it would affect your decision to vote for or against current elected officials, especially members of the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate who set federal drug policy, if they were to say what Secretary of Shultz just said.
