Nguyen For State Senate Signs Seen On ELB Private Properties, High On Light Poles (Like "You Don't See My Name On It" Indie Committee Signs Supporting Garcia for Mayor)

(April 23, 2014, 6:55 a.m.) -- Campaign signs for Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen, a Republican now seeking an OC-LB state Senate seat [unfilled for the past two years due to redistricting] have sprouted in part of ELB, emulating the tactics of the independent expenditure committee (Mayor Foster "you don't see my name on it") supporting Robert Garcia for Mayor.

They're posted on private property, with no visible indication of whether they're posted with or without the property owner's consent.

We saw Nguyen campaign signs afixed using heavy packing tape in elevated locations where they're not easily removed.

Unlike the "you don't see my name on it" Committee's Garcia supportive signs -- printed/assembled by an independent committee legally separate from the Garcia campaign, about which the Garcia campaign says it has no knowledge or control -- the Nguyen campaign signs indicate they're from her campaign.

Among Ms. Nguyen's website listed endorsers is Long Beach Councilman Gary DeLong.

We'll be contacting the Nguyen campaign later today to inquire about this.
