(Nov. 13, 2017) -- He was the missing man in this year's Long Beach Veterans Day Parade.
Jerry Caligiuri would have been in Saturday's event, as he was last year (video below) and in years previously representing the Kiwanis Club of Bixby Knolls/North Long Beach.

When Jerry wasn't doing that, he was volunteering for countless other worthy civic causes...while spending relatively little time focused on himself. When he was taken from us so suddenly, he hadn't given much thought to arranging things for the inevitable that eventually comes to us all. It now falls to Jerry's sisters and friends to help cover those expenses. Jerry's sister Anna put up a Go Fund Me page at this link. She writes, "Since the sudden passing of Jerry, immediate funds are not available to cover the cost of the funeral and medical expenses." We urge those who remember Jerry's countless selfless acts for others to use the Go Fund Me page above to help cover the costs of taking Jerry to his final rest. Former LB Councilman/Vice Mayor Val Lerch says these are the arrangements.
