Dear Voters, Citizens and Friends of the 37th Congressional District:

The election is Tuesday. Whatever happens in the next two or three days will determine the direction of this country - not just at the Presidential level, but in Congress as well.

It is, for Independent candidate Nick Dibs who is running for Congress in the 37th District...and there were over twelve thousand (12,000) people in the Congressional District who signed Nomination petitions to put him on the ballot because they are not happy with the status quo of Laura Richardson and company. If elected to Congress with your vote, here are some "common sense" proposals Nick will be fighting for to better our community and nation:

• Significantly Improve Public Education: Nick Dibs is a 15-year teacher who will work to provide students with much-needed lower class size and a better learning environment (20-25 students per teacher) without raising taxes.

• Improve Economy, Availability of Jobs, and Energy Independence: Nick Dibs will work to provide federal funding and incentives without raising taxes, to implement significant local solar energy projects to begin in the near future, providing living-wage jobs locally and at the same time decreasing our dependence on foreign oil.

• Laura Richardson votes with Republicans on the Wall Street Bailout! No More Bailouts: Instead, taxpayer funds should be used locally for energy-independent infrastructure and other public-works projects -- not for the purpose of bailing out corrupt Wall Street bankers with $800 billion of taxpayer dollars, as Richardson recently voted.

• Stop corruption, waste and mismanagement or unethical use of our tax-payer dollars! • Reduce Port Pollution

• Laura Richardson is NOT defending the Constitution and is NOT upholding her oath of office: Richardson recently voted "yes" for the new FISA Bill/Law, allowing the Bush Administration to break the law and violate the 4th Amendment while wiretapping and looking at the e-mails of millions of Americans. Nick Dibs will defend our Constitution, our civil liberties and our rights: They are given to us by God, not by politicians! He has a long history track record of standing up for fairness, peace, and freedom "...with liberty and justice for all"!

• Laura Richardson voted for $50 billion to continue funding the Iraq War! Nick Dibs opposes the war in Iraq, as well as other foreign policy failures of the Bush Administration. He has significant foreign policy experience, while Richardson has little or no foreign policy experience.

  Nick Dibs is committed to the betterment of our communities in the 37th Congressional District.   Positive Change and Hope vs. Status Quo

  Why vote for Nick Dibs, Independent for Congress?

  Is defending our Constitution and solving problems with "common sense" solutions more important than political party loyalty?

This will provide good paying jobs locally and at the same time decrease our dependence on foreign oil while helping to provide a cleaner environment.

  Bail outs should be based locally to help jump start our economy with energy-independent infrastructure and other public-works projects -- not for the purpose of bailing out corrupt bankers on Wall Street, as Richardson recently voted for.

  Reduce Port Pollution: Nick will author legislation to provide federal funding for research and incentives for clean fuel technology to retrofit ships with clean burning fuels such as liquefied natural gas, hydrogen, and other clean fuels. This will help address the major source of air pollution at the Port and eliminate pollution at the source. Existing incentives and projects will be supported and encouraged to clean up the Port.
