(July 21, 2011, 6:55 p.m.) -- You won't be seeing the byline of our spouse on LBReport.com stories TFN. Yes, we're still husband and wife but we no longer share this computer...because she's doing part time work in a non-policy capacity (no policy input) handling writing assignments, releases and the like for Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske. As long as that continues, any news work on LBReport.com is out of the question.

Our spouse didn't take the part time work to get us stories; we get quite enough of those already. It's simply a way to supplement our household income. We disclosed the part time work at its June 28 inception in our terms of service/policies which are linked on every story appearing on LBReport.com. We don't know how long the part time work will continue but if/when it ends we'll let you know that too.

LBReport.com isn't owned by a corporate media chain. Its publisher isn't a public policy consultant to the LB Area Chamber of Commerce and isn't a Mayor chosen/Council approved appointee to a City Hall Commission. That will happen when pigs fly. We remain very much an outsider in those insider worlds.

We'll continue to do our best to bring you Long Beach news first and hopefully better than others, including stories that others may not do until after we do them (and sometimes not at all). Ultimately, our product speaks for itself.
