(April 14, 2003) -- LBReport.com has learned that Acting City Manager Gerald Miller advised Councilmembers on April 14 that Boeing's C-17 Military Transport Division will be testing a retrofitted C-17 on April 15 from 12:00 midnight until about 2:00 a.m.

Mr. Miller's memo says there's "nothing in the Airport's ordinance that prohibits engine idle operations at this time of night (engine run-ups must end at 9:00 pm). However, because this is a very rare occurrence, it could generate some calls."
