    Greet and Grill Candidates For School Board (4th Dist. southern ELB Special Election) At Stearns Park, April 24, 6:30-8:30 p.m.


    (April 19, 2003) -- Candidates seeking to become LB's new School Board member -- filling Ed Eveland's seat in southern ELB -- will appear at a candidate forum on Thursday, April 24, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Stearns Champions Park Recreation Center, 4520 E. 23d St., off Lakewood and 23d, b/w Stearns and Lakewood. It's free and open to the public.

    Voters in southern ELB have the power to choose the next LB school board member in a June 10, 2003 winner-take-all special election.

    The candidate forum is sponsored by the Stearns Park Neighborhood Association, Recreation Neighborhood Association, Los Altos Neighborhood Association and Concerned Parents and Teachers of Long Beach.
