(April 1, 2004) -- LB's Charter Communications suffered what it described as an "area outage" at midday today affecting some of its cable TV and high speed internet customers in part of LB for several hours.
The TV screen at LBReport.com's ELB world headquarters went black during the morning of April 1 (we didn't note the exact time). A LBReport.com reader near Wardlow/Studebaker says his service went out at approximately 7:40 a.m. and wasn't restored until about 6 p.m.
However another reader in central LB reported service was just fine all day.
As of 3:00 p.m., a recording on the company's repair line referred to an "area outage." A message left with a company operator by LBReport.com seeking information did not produce a return call on April 1.
Service was restored in time for prime time.
