(April 20, 2005) -- LBReport.com posts below in pdf form a March 22, 2005 letter from LB Mayor Beverly O'Neill to Sen. Pete Domenici (R., NM), chair of the Senate Energy Committee, transmitting the LB City Council's February 15, 2005 resolution (also attached) opposing extending the authority of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to permit and site Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminals.

The letter, referenced by City Attorney Bob Shannon during April 19 Council discussion of the pending federal Energy bill, was provided to us on request by Mr. Shannon's office on April 20.
