(April 16, 2007) -- We asked LBPD if they had any serious problems during the recently-concluded three-days of events surrounding the LB Grand Prix.
LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Dina Zipalski checked and told LBReport.com that there were a total of eight arrests related to three days of Grand Prix events...and they were all for public intoxication.
Yes, LBPD received plenty of calls for service (an occasional fight) but nothing got out of hand...and the incidents didn't result in arrests.
As separately reported by LBReport.com, there was a disturbing incident on April 14 when gunfire flew at midafternoon Saturday in the area of 4th St. and Junipero Ave...but that was a considerable distance from, and apparently not related to, the Grand Prix.
