News Mayor Foster Schedules Two ELB "Town Hall" Meetings...Before May 1 Election On City Hall-Sought Ballot Measures
(April 16, 2007) -- At mid-afternoon April 16, the office of Mayor Bob Foster issued a release announcing that residents "are invited to two public Town Hall meetings this week that will feature Mayor Bob Foster speaking and answering questions on a number of issues in the City. These two meetings are the first in a series to be held city-wide."
The two meetings currently scheduled are:
- Wednesday, April 18, 7:00 p.m. at Robert A Millikan High School, Drama Room, 2800 Snowden Ave. at East Spring Street.
- Thursday, April 19, 7:00 p.m. at the Long Beach Playhouse, 5021 E Anaheim St., at Clark Avenue.
"Parking is available, and light refreshments will be served," the release says.
The release doesn't say exactly what will be discussed at the "Town Hall" meetings...but they come as LB approaches a May 1 citywide special election in which Mayor Foster has taken a high visibility stance in support of seven City Council-backed and bundled Charter Amendments (Props A-G).
