(April 5, 2007) -- At day's end, details and circumstances remain unclear concerning a vehicle that landed in part of the front window of the Teachers Association of LB HQ in Bixby Knolls (4362 Atlantic Ave., south of San Antonio Rd.) at midmorning today (April 5).
Debris was cleaned up and damage to the front window was boarded up. One sign says "BOARD UP. This property was secured by the City of Long Beach...Property owner will be billed by U.S. mail." The other sign asks visitors to use the back door.
LBPD had few details. LBPD Public Information Officer Jackie Bezart, working from initial scant information, said the call for service came in about 10:00 a.m. Two people appear to have been transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Two vehicles were towed. Investigators weren't immediately available with details, cause(s), etc.
TALB staff indicated to LBReport.com that no one inside the building was injured.
Further as we learn it.
