(April 27, 2008, updated info) -- At about 12:30 a.m. today (April 27), two people were shot in the 500 block of E. Burnett St. (west of Atlantic Ave.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. David Marander says the two victims -- a male and a female -- were standing in an alley when a male suspect approached and fired several rounds at them.

The victims sustained non-life-threatening wounds. Patrol and gang detectives are investigating this shooting.
