LBPD Responds To Escalated Domestic Situation Last Night (April 17): Woman Is Assaulted, Allegedly Suffers Injuries & Escapes; Suspect Refuses To Surrender; SWAT Is Activated; Suspect Is Now In Custody



(April 18, 2014) -- A NLB neighborhood saw police and SWAT activity last night (April 17) in response to an escalated domestic situation in which a woman was allegedly assaulted, suffered injuries and escaped the residence...but the male adult suspect -- who police say is an alleged gang member on parole -- refused to surrender.

LBPD Public Information Officer Nancy Pratt tells LBREPORT.com that in the 11 p.m. hour, officers responded to a residence in the 6000 block of Linden Ave. where a woman was allegedly assaulted in a domestic situation, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. She was able to escape the residence but the suspect refused to come out of the residence.

SWAT was acvtivated...and the suspect was taken into custody without injuries.
