(April 20, 2014) -- While most of LB slept before dawn on Easter Sunday (Aug. 20), LBPD officers on patrol in ELB's Lakewood Village area observed a suspect allegedly involved in stealing a car, pursued him on foot, conducted a yard to yard search (assisted by a K9 officer and LAPD's helicopter)...and after two hours of methodical work had two suspects from Compton in custody before the sun came up.
LBPD Public Information Officer Nancy Pratt says that about 3:30 a.m., officers on routine patrol observed a male suspect allegedly involved in an auto theft in the 4300 block of Graywood (east of Lakewood Blvd., north of Carson St.) and pursued the suspect on foot. A yard to yard search followed, assisted by a K9 officer and LAPD's helicopter...and two men (adults) from Compton were taken into custody. The police activity lasted from roughly 3:30 a.m. to about 5:30 a.m. (with wrap up thereafter.) blog comments powered by Disqus
