LB Firefighters Knock Down Blaze in NLB Apartment Bldg: Area South St./Dairy Ave.

(April 2, 2014) -- LBFD and LBPD units rushed to the area of South St./Dairy Ave. on Tuesday night (April 1) in response to a fire in one unit of a NLB apartment building.
NLB community advocate Dan Pressburg tells LBREPORT.com that the blaze occurred in an apartment building at 199 South St., just a few doors down from the historic Long Beach Dairy and Creamery. Mr. Pressburg says units from LBFD Stations 9, 11, 12 and 13 were visible along with several LBPD units. Photo right via Dan Pressburg LBFD Public Information Officer Matt Dobberpuhl says firefighters responded in the 9:00 p;m. hour and reported knock down a few minutes later. Mr. Pressburg says there didn't appear to be any injuries and to his knowledge the apartment unit's residents weren't at home at the time of the blaze. blog comments powered by Disqus
