Gunfire Hits Window Of Occupied WLB Residence -- With No Known Gang Affiliation --1800 block Canal St.

(April 26, 2015) -- Gunfire was reported, and rounds hit an occupied residence -- with no known gang affiliation -- just north of PCH, east of Santa Fe Ave. on Saturday night (April 25.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Megan Zabel tells LBREPORT.com that at about 9:23 p.m., officers responded to the 1800 block of Canal Street regarding a shots fired call. When officers arrived they discovered a window to a residence on that block had been struck by gunfire.

PIO Zabel says no injuries were reported, no suspects are in custody...and the residence that was struck has no known gang affiliation.

LBPD's investigation is ongoing.

As previously reported by LBREPORT.com, on August 23, 2014 a man (adult) arrived at a nearby hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound and told officers that he was standing next to his vehicle parked in the 1600 block of W. PCH, just east of Santa Fe, when he was hit.
