(April 12, 2017, 5:50 a.m.) -- Police activity visible at Palo Verde/Wardlow on Tuesday morning (April 11) was the conclusion of a Seal Beach PD pursuit...which ended in a crash -- in which a non-involved ELB driver was injured and their car damaged -- with the suspects fleeing from the vehicle before they were taken in custody. [We requested information from Seal Beach Watch Commander yesterday and received release this morning in midnight hour.]

Social network dispatches indicate the ELB driver was hurt (air bag deployed) but was able to walk away from the crash...although their vehicle fare well.

[Seal Beach PD release] On Tuesday, April 11th, 2017, at approximately 9:50 am, Seal Beach Police Officers received a call of burglary suspects inside the home in the 400 block of Jade Cove Way. The homeowner, who was home at the time, heard a noise and went to investigate. The suspects ran from the location and entered a vehicle. A neighbor saw the vehicle and gave a description to West-Cities Communications Dispatchers.

A Seal Beach Police Motorcycle Officer saw the vehicle entering the 405 freeway and pursued the vehicle into Long Beach. The suspect vehicle crashed at Palo Verde St. and Wardlow St. and the suspects fled from the car. All three suspects were captured soon after with the assistance of the Los Alamitos Police Department.

Tyre Sherman, age 21 of Inglewood; Teral Sherman, age 20 Los Angeles; and Brandon Medrano, age 22 of Los Angeles were arrested for burglary and related charges. All three were booked into the Orange County Jail.
