(April 27, 2017, 11:40 a.m.) -- City staff is giving the public only a little over a week to review 348 pages of consultant-prepared/city-released draft responses to comments submitted by the public to the draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) accompanying a staff proposed rezoning of a prime portion of SE LB ("Southeast Area Specific Plan" or "SEASP").
Commenting parties received notice of the document by email on April 26...with the Planning Commission's hearing on the proposed SEASP changes and draft EIR scheduled for May 4, 2017, 5 p.m., at City Hall (333 W. Ocean Blvd.) LBREPORT.com hasn't had an opportunity to review the newly released document in detail but a city staff transmittal indicates some proposed revisions have been made to the draft EIR. LBREPORT.com is interested in readers' comments (welcome below) on the proposed draft EIR (including any changes)...but if you want your views to carry any legal weight, you must testify in person or submit written testimony in advance of the hearing to the Planning Commission.
