LB Geyser: Broken Fire Hydrant @ Wardlow Rd./LB Blvd, Aug 13

(August 13, 2003) -- It wasn't exactly Yellowstone National Park, but a broken fire hydrant produced a geyser of sorts on the the northwest corner of Wardlow Rd. at Long Beach Blvd. on August 13 at about 2:00 p.m.

We thank LBReport.com reader Patrick Redgate of a savvy LB solar energy firm, AMECO solar (www.amecosolar.com), for capturing the digital news photo below and emailing it to us. (The city's hydrant-fixers subsequently arrived and fixed it.)

If you see news happen and have your digital camera handy (and can safely snap a picture, don't put yourself or others at risk), email it to us: mail@lbreport.com. We won't pay you, but we will credit you...and your friends will be impressed! And you'll have our gratitude.
