Awful Accident, 7th/Euclid, Takes Pedestrian's Life
(August 3, 2005. updated Aug. 4) -- A terrible accident at the corner of 7th St. and Euclid Ave. has taken the life of a 23 year-old pedestrian.
In a written release, LBPD says it responded to the scene on Aug. 3 at approximately 3:40 p.m...and its preliminary investigation indicated the blue Chevy pick-up was traveling west on 7th Street, allegedly failed to stop for a red light and struck a delivery making a left turn from eastbound 7th St. onto northbound Euclid. | Photo credit: Paul Racko |
LBPD says that following the collision, the pick-up continued in a NW direction and struck Jose Usquiano, 23, of Los Angeles, a pedestrian waiting to cross the street. He later died at a local hospital.
LBPD is asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact LBPD Accident Investigation Detective Ray Dennison at (562) 570-7355.
