(August 2, 2005) -- A memorial shrine has appeared on Atherton St. next to Whaley Park to honor Michael Tetreault, Jr...who perished on July 30 when the motocycle he was riding was struck by a pickup truck leaving a church parking lot.
Accompanied by floral displays, American flags and multiple messages, the memorial at Chatwin Ave. includes Michael's name spelled in roses.
Among the inscriptions: "Michael: I love you very much, and will miss you! You will never be forgotten! I looked up to you for everything, and still do!!! From your loving brother, Ryan."
Photos of Mr. Tetreault, 25, attired in his Marine uniform, are also posted at the site.
LBPD says a pick-up truck failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with Mr. Tetreault. As of Aug. 1, charges against the pickup truck driver were pending.
