News Mayor Foster Travels to Long Beach, Mississippi, Presents Katrina Relief Check On Behalf of "Long Beach Cares"
| (Aug. 30, 2006) -- A year after Hurricane Katrina crashed into Long Beach, Mississippi, the Mayor of Long Beach, California arrived with a $40,527 check for the City of Long Beach, Mississippi on behalf of "Long Beach Cares: Long Beach, CA Helping Long Beach, MS" |

LB, CA Mayor Foster and a city delegation were in LB, MS (west of Gulfport and Biloxi, population approx. 17,000) on Aug. 30 and hand delivered the check for continuing relief efforts to Long Beach, Mississippi Mayor Billy Skellie, Jr.
