Councilman Robert Garcia, who told LBReport.com this morning that after reading LBReport.com's report earlier this morning he is trying "to move things around" so he can attend an Aug. 30 meeting called by several WLB community groups who want the Port of LB to reconsider its planned ouster of some long-time commericial businesses from Berth 55 for a new Port-sought fire station, tells LBReport.com that he sent the letter (below) this morning to Port of LB Executive Director Chris Lytle:
The Aug. 30 Community Meeting (referenced in our text above) is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Berth 55, 555 Pico Ave. It's sponsored by the LB Central PAC (including Wrigley Ass'n, MID and Neighborhood Advisory Group, West PAC, West Long Beach 90810 and West Long Beach Association)
