(August 2, 2012) -- During proceedings this morning (Aug. 2) adopting the bipartisan report of its Ethics Committee and reprimanding Congresswoman Laura Richardson (D., Carson-LB), Congresswoman Richardson took the House floor, said she takes the report seriously, noted that she acknowledged its allegations...but went on to strongly criticize aspects of the Ethics Committee's proceedings and its resulting report.

House approval of the resolution came on a voice vote (not recorded yays and nays).

And that may not be the end of it.

The House also passed a resolution allowing members five legislative days to revise and extend their remarks as they'll appear in the Congressional Record.
