LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Brad Johnson says that at about 4:00 p.m. (Aug. 24) officers were dispatched to the Belmont Pier off 39th Place regarding a stabbing. Sgt. Johnson says two transients allegedly got into a fight; the victim was stabbed multiple times and transported to a hospital; LBPD has taken a suspect into custody; the victim (as of Sunday night Aug. 24) was in critical but stable condition.
