LBPD Public Information Officer Marlene Arrona tells LBREPORT.com that at 3:25 a.m., a call came in regarding a person with a gun who allegedly threatened to shoot a victim. PIO Arrona says the victim ran from the location, went to a neighbor's residence and called LBPD; the suspect allegedly refused to exit the house; SWAT was activated for an armed barricaded suspect situation...and the suspect was taken into custody. During the demobilization, officers located a suspicious device, summoned LASD's Bomb Squad...and LBPD conducted precautionary evacuations. LASD's Bomb Squad responded and determined it wasn't an explosive device...and residents returned home. Streets in the area of 6th/Linden were reopened in the 7 a.m .hour. LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
