Why Was This Water Spewing At LB's Downtown Metro Station In A Drought?

(Aug. 25, 2014) -- So what happened that sent water spewing at the downtown Long Beach Metro station on Saturday morning Aug. 23?

Facebook user Joshua Michael Orr snapped the two photos below on Saturday morning Aug. 23 shortly after 1:00 a.m.

Six hours later, another Facebook reader indicated the water was still running approaching 7:00 a.m.

Yes, there is a drought...so we're looking into this and will hopefully have some answers later today (Aug. 25.)
