(Aug. 19, 2015) -- Following-up on a June fatal shooting in the 700 block of Linden Ave., LBPD has released surveillance video obtained by its detectives (screen screen shot below) that it says captures a male subject walking on Frontenac Court near 7th St. around the time of the murder. "Detectives believe this individual to be a subject of interest in this case and are seeking the public’s help with identifying him," says an LBPD release. "The subject in video is wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and long dark colored shorts. The motive for this heinous crime remains unclear."

"On Sunday, June 28, 2015, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Long Beach Police responded to an apartment complex in the 700 block of Linden Avenue regarding a shooting victim," LBPD says in its release. "When officers arrived they located the victim on an apartment staircase who had been struck in the upper body by gunfire and pronounced deceased at the scene." The L.A. County Board of Supervisors (item moved by Supervisor Don Knabe) has issued a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the murder that took the life of 35-year-old Iran Maese of Long Beach.
