See / Hear Demonstration Outside Planned Parenthood (Wrigley Area), Part Of Nat'l Events; LB Event Organized By Audio Girl Ministries; Its Exec. Dir. Sylvia Aimerito Addresses Crowd

(Aug. 22, 2015) -- Roughly 100 people -- many carrying signs and some bringing children -- were visible on Sat. Aug. 22 at 9:00 a.m. for a demonstration outside the Wrigley area office (Pacific Ave. b/w Willow-Spring Sts.) of Planned Parenthood. The event was part of a "National Day of Protest" with events targeting Planned Parenthood scheduled in 47 states and over 300 cities. [Aug. 23 UPDATE: Audio Girl Ministries indicates on its Facebook page that the crowd continued to grow through midmorning and reached 275 people.]

The demonstration locally was organized by Long Beach-based Audio Girl Ministries, which says it has helped purchase two ultrasound machines for pro-life pregnancy clinics and says when women see the image of their baby "85% choose life."
