(August 13, 2016, 7:45 a.m., updated 2:20 p.m.) -- LBREPORT.com has learned that shortly after 6 a.m Saturday (Aug 13), two men (adults) were dropped off at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim was initially reported in critical condition and in surgery [at midmorning, this victim was out of surgery in stable condition]; the other victim's wounds are described as superficial.

Early information is understandably sketchy. LBPD Watch Commander Lt. Dina Zapalski says the shooting occurred in the area of Anaheim St./Walnut Ave. (roughly a block or two east of LB's Twain Library and MacArthur Park.) LBPD is investigating to determine if what took place was gang-related.
