(August 22, 2016, 6:55 a.m.) -- Residents of a Central LB 6th Council district neighborhood awoke to their second shooting (gunfire, police and fire sirens) in nearly the same location in less than two weeks at predawn Monday (Aug. 22.)
LBPD Watch Commander Lt. Poe Siavii, Jr. tells LBREPORT.com that at about 4:51 a.m. today (Aug. 22), officers were dispatched to the area of 11th St./MLK Ave. where a man (adult) had been shot. The victim was transported to a hospital for what is believed to be a non-life-threatening wound and LBPD's investigation is ongoing. It's the second shooting in the neighborhood within 11 days.
