(Aug. 13, 2017, updated 11:30 a.m. from 1;50 a.m.) -- In a release, LBPD says a 23 year old Long Beach man was shot to death last night at about 11:30 p.m. in the area of busy 7th St. at Orange Ave. LBPD says it responded to a possible shooting, found the victim with gunshot wounds, and LBFD pronounced Jonathan Sandoval-Aleman deceased at the scene.
LBPD's release says it's currently unknown if the shooting was gang related; a motive is yet to be determined...and the investigation is ongoing. [Scroll down for further.] |
Initial information is sketchy, but LBREPORT.com has confirmed with LBPD's Watch Commander that a man was fatally shot in the area of 7th St./Orange Ave. (border of the 1st/2nd Council districts) at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 12. Officers responded to reports of a shooting, located the victim (a male adult) and LBFD pronounced him deceased at the scene. LBPD investigators are on scene working this case.
