(Aug. 7, 2017) -- A man was shot in the predawn hours Monday (Aug. 7) along 14th St. just west of Junipero Ave. (4th Council district.)

LBPD officer Delmy Hughes tells LBREPORT.com that officers responded to the 2300 block of E. 14th St. [roughly Raymond Ave., west of Junipero Ave.] at about 2:48 a.m. on Aug. 7 after the calling party told a family member that he had been shot but provided no further information. Arriving officers found the victim on 14th St. just west of Junipero.

LBPD says the victim, a Black male adult, said a Hispanic male adult shot him and fled westbound on 14th St. on foot.
