Midafternoon Shooting, 2600 block E. 56th St.

(August 15 , 2017, 6:10 p.m.) -- Initial information is sketchy about a shooting in broad daylight today in the 2600 block of E. 56th St. (west of Paramount Blvd., south of South St., 8th Council district.)

LBPD Public Information Officer Sgt. James Richardson says officers located a victim (gender, age not immediately available) who was shot; LBFD transported the victim ot a hospital in currently unknown condition.

LBPD's investigation is ongoing.
