(Aug. 13, 2018, 5:55 a.m.) -- A man was shot to death on Sunday night (Aug. 12), roughly six blocks north of LB's Civic Center (1st dist.)

Initial information is skecthy. LBPD overnight Watch Commander Lt. Chad Ellis tells LBREPORT.com that at about 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Cedar Ave., initially couldn't spot a victim or suspect but checked nearby yards found a man (adult) with a gunshot wound. LBFD responded and determined the victim was deceased.

LBPD says the suspect is a male Hispanic. Investigators were on-scene overnight working the case. Further as we learn it.
