VIDEO: LBPD Seeks Your Help In Locating This Suspect Vehicle (See Surveillance Video & Pix) And Its Owner In Connection With Cal Hts Fatal Stabbing (Wardlow/Orange)

(Aug. 7, 2018) -- LBPD today (Aug. 7) released surveillance video, and is seeking the public's help in locating a suspect vehicle and its owner in connection with the July 11 fatal stabbing of 51-year old David Gross at Wardlow Rd./Orange Ave.

"Through their investigation, detectives obtained surveillance video of the suspect vehicle, which is described as a 2011 to 2014 white Mazda3 Hatchback. The vehicle's bumper was missing prior to the incident, and there may be damage to the passenger side mirror caused by the vehicle striking the victim," LBPD says in a release.

"In the video (below), the vehicle can be seen from four different camera angles, in the center of the frame, at the following times: 00:07, 00:14, 00:27, and 00:34."

As LBREPORT.com previously reported, the fatal stabbing occurred on Wardlow/Orange on July 11 at about 9:30 p.m., In a July 12 release, LBPD indicated that its preliminary investigation determined that a "suspect vehicle, being driven by a male subject, may have struck the victim as he was crossing the street. The victim and male subject then became invovled in a dispute, which resulted in the suspect stabbing the victim. The suspect then fled northbound on Orange Ave. in a white vehicle."

LBPD says: "Anyone who has information regarding the vehicle or its owner is urged to contact Long Beach Police Homicide Detectives Todd Johnson and Don Collier at (562) 570-7244.
