Mulitple Shots Into Car Wound Man In NW NLB

(Aug. 20, 2018, 12:30 p.m.) -- LBPD says multiple shots were fired in a NW NLB neighborhood overnight, wounding a man sitting in a car, about a block west of LB Blvd.

LBPD Public Information Officer Nancy Pratt tells LBREPORT.com that on August 20 at about 2:20 a.m., officers were sent to a shooting call in the 6900 block of Gale Ave. (9th dist.) and found a man (adult) with multiple gunshot sounds who was sitting in a car when a suspect fired into the car.

LBPD says the suspect is a male Black (adult) and says the it's undetermined at this point if the shooting was gang-related and the investigation is ongoing.

LBPD asks anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact the Gang Enforcement Det. Joe Pirooz at (562) 570-7370.
