(Aug. 14, 2018, 10:50 a.m.) -- Residents in LB's eastside Rose Park neighborhood (2nd Council district) saw/heard police activity last night (Aug. 13) and Domestic Violence detectives are investigating a shooting that left a woman (adult) wounded.

LBPD Public Information Officer/Ofr. Carlos Sandoval tells LBREPORT.com that on August 13 at about 11 p.m., officers were sent to the 700 block of Obispo Ave. regarding a person shot and arrived to find a woman (adult) hit by gunfire. LBFD transported her to a hospital with what police describe as "non-life-threatening" injuries.

PIO Sandoval says the investigation revealed that the suspect was known to the victim and officers began searching the 1000 block of Stanley Ave. where a person matching the suspect description had been seen. LBPD set up a perimeter; SWAT was activated and assisted in an overnight search, but by roughly 7:55 a.m. Aug. 14, the suspect wasn't located.

LBPD Domestic Violence detectives are searching a residence for evidence and the investigation is ongoing.
