(Aug. 23, 2018) -- In a brazen midday double-shooting, two boys were hit and suffered "non-life-threatening" wounds along Walnut Ave. just north of Anaheim St. (6th Council district) in LB's Cambodia Town.

LBPD Watch Commander Lt.Lee Debrabander tells LBREPORT.com that at about 1 p.m. on Aug. 23, officers responded to shots fired, and found two male juveniles had been hit. LBFD transported the victims to hospitals. Detectives from LBPD's Gang/Violent Crime section responded...and there's no known motive or gang involvement known at this time as LBPD's investigation continues.

It's LB's ninth shooting (including one homicide) since Aug. 5 (three in 1st dist; two in 8th dist; on in 6th, 2nd and 7th-border-with-5th.)

Three days ago (Aug. 20) an alleged walk-up shooter opened fire but missed hitting a group of men standing outside in the area of 15th St./Daisy Ave. (1st Council district), about two miles west of the Aug. 23 double-shooting.
