(Aug. 14, 2018, 7:45 a.m.) -- The founder-director of the non-profit "No Kill Advocacy Center," an attorney who (on Aug. 6) submitted a complaint to the L.A. County District Attorney's office alleging Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia had hidden comments criticizing the Mayor's policies from his Facebook pages (for the Mayor's office and as a "public figure"), now further alleges that in addition to 28 instances cited initially, five more alleged instances have been found on the Mayor's office Facebook page and 23 more on the Garcia's "public figure" page (for a total of 56 allegedly "hidden" comments.)

In an Aug. 13 statement on the Facebook page of the No Kill Advocacy Center ("Working to end the systematic killing of animals in shelters"), founder-director Nathan Winograd (a Stanford law school trained attorney) writes:

"In addition to expressing concern about conditions in the animal shelter, there were concerns raised about the human homeless population and political process. These comments [which his complaint letter acknowledged remained visible to the commenting person and his/her Facebook "friends"] were also not visible to the general public. One commenter appeared to know that his comment was not visible, noting in a subsequent comment that what he posted was "filtered out." That subsequent comment also appeared 'hidden' to the general public as were conversations between people in a thread that referenced conditions in the shelter."

And Mr. Winograd states that "since our letter to the District Attorney became public, the critical comments are no longer 'hidden.'"

On August 10, LBREPORT.com sought comments/responses from the Mayor and his Chief of Staff, received no responsive responses at that time or to date and reported the allegations here.
