LBPD Finds/Seizes These Guns + Meth + Cash Allegedly In These WLB, Central LB and NLB Locations And Makes Felony Arrests

(Aug. 23, 2018) -- Prepared with search warrants, LBPD located and seized the guns, methamphetamine and cash displayed below allegedly found at six Long Beach locations (three in WLB, two in Central LB and one in NLB) and made six felony arrests.

In a release, LBPD says that on August 22, its West Division Directed Enforcement Team, assisted by LBPD's Gangs and Violent Crime Division and SWAT, conducted a search warrant operation that brought the arrest of six individuals and the confiscation of the displayed weapons, drugs and currency.

LBPD says the search warrants were a "follow-up to investigations into gang-related incidents of violent crime earlier this summer in the LBPD's West Division area. The net result: five felony arrests, one misdemeanor arrest, and the seizure of seven firearms, a quantity of methamphetamine, and $6,000 in cash.

Search warrants were served, and individuals taken into custody in the following locations:

  • 1900 block of Harbor Avenue
  • 1400 block of Chestnut Avenue
  • 2200 block of Baltic Avenue
  • 1400 block of Parade Street
  • 1000 block of Market Street
  • 2000 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue

Five of the arrestees are men; one is a juvenile (17).

LBPD states in its release: "These types of operations will continue, to address violent crime taking place in our community, in efforts to keep our neighborhoods safe.
