St. Cornelius, LB Christian Reformed Church hit
(December 13, 2002) -- Graffiti vandals attacked and defaced two ELB churches overnight: LB Christian Reformed Church (at Wardlow Rd. and Chatwin Ave.) and St. Cornelius (southeast area of Wardlow Rd. at Bellflower Blvd.)
LBPD dispatched an officer (photo right), who was plainly outraged by the crime while professionally taking a report from an individual shortly after 8:00 a.m.
Vandals sprayed bright red, gang style graffiti over the main sign to the LB Christian Reformed Church...
...and also attacked St. Cornelius in two places near its entrance.
Although the graffiti at St. Cornelius was promptly covered by early morning, the outline of the defacement was still evident.
