Update on LB Activist T.J. Norcutt, Seriously Injured in November 3 Chain Reaction Accident On Fog Shrouded 710 Fwy

(December 5, 2002) -- Veteran LB activist T.J. Norcutt, who was among those seriously injured in the November 3 multicar pileup on the fog shrouded 710 freeway, was transferred to Western Medical Center's ER in Santa Ana on December 3, her daughter Victoria tells LBReport.com.

The family is working to find a new facility for rehabilitation and care and we will convey this address when it is received.

Cards and letters should now be sent to:

    T.J. Norcutt
    P.O. Box 1132
    Santa Ana, CA 92702

As previously reported by LBReport.com, Ms. Norcutt's daughter indicates cards, letters and positive messages encouraging a speedy recovery are welcome "to inspire her on her long road to recovery."

During a November Council meeting, 1st district Councilwoman Bonnie Lowenthal praised Ms. Norcutt's work in LB over the years and wished her the best in her recovery.

Heavy fog was said to be a major factor in the chain reaction accidents involving over 190 vehicles that took place shortly before 7 a.m. in the vicinity generally south of Del Amo. Blvd.
