(December 21, 2004, further updated) -- A quadruple shooting has left two people dead and two wounded in southerly NLB in the 100 block of E. Pleasant St., southeast of Del Amo Blvd. at LB Blvd.
LBPD says the quadruple shooting took place at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Dec. 20.
[update] LBPD says its preliminary investigation indicates several people were in front of a residence when an unknown number of male suspects walked up and fired several shots at the group, striking four victims.
One victim, a 23 year-old man whose residence is presently unknown, was struck at least once and pronounced dead at the scene.
A second victim, a 22 year-old LB resident, was also struck at least once and transported to a hospital where he later died.
Two other victims, ages 49 and 33 (both of LB) were struck during the shooting but their injuries are not considered life threatening.
