(Dec. 3, 2005) -- JetBlue flight 216, which departed LB Airport at about 9:45 p.m. on Friday night (Dec. 2) for an overnight flight to NYC, wound up returning to LB Airport after a warning indicator in the cockpit showed some kind of a problem.
LB Airport spokeswoman Sharon Diggs-Jackson says the plane circled offshore for about two hours (burning off fuel) and landed at LB Airport a little after 12:40 a.m. today (Dec. 3) without incident.
Ms. Diggs-Jackson said the warning indication was apparently erroneous and nothing was found amiss. After remaining on the ground overnight (due to the late hour), the same plane departed LB Airport at about 8:20 a.m. today (Dec. 3) without incident.
In September, a JetBlue flight from Burbank to NYC made a safe emergency landing at LAX after a nose wheel didn't retract.
