(Dec. 18, 2006) -- Another murder has rocked the South Wrigley area...this time in the 1900 block of Magnolia Ave. The site is about a block south of the area where a murder took place in late August.
In a release, LBPD says on that on Saturday, December 16 at about 7:20 p.m., officers responded to a "shots fired" call in the 1900 block of Magnolia and discovered the body of a male adult...with a fatal gunshot wound.
The officers found the victim, believed to be a male Hispanic about 35 years old, on the 2nd floor landing at the rear of the apartment complex. He'd been shot in the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
On August 23, a homicide took place in the 2000 block of Magnolia Ave...when officers responded to a "shots fired" call and found a shooting victim (an African-American male) in a mini van in an alley.
The L.A. County Coroner’s Office will determine the identity of the most recent victim and his official cause of death.
