Your View So...In Your Opinion, Should This Be Called A "Holiday Tree" Or A "Christmas Tree"?
(Dec, 1, 2007) -- So...should this be called a "Holiday Tree" or a "Christmas Tree"? It's at the privately-run "Pike @ Rainbow Harbor" (Shoreline Drive @ Pine Ave.) and is to our knowledge privately-built. Not far away are Menorah and Kwanzaa recognitions (visible beyond the tree on the right side of the photo).

Here's the Menorah area:

Here's the Kwanzaa area:

Next to the tree is a sign.

Visible on the sign (Dec. 1) was a note indicating that the "Tree lighting ceremony has been rescheduled to Friday, Dec. 7 at 6:00 p.m." Below that note the following was visible on the sign:
WOW
Join Mayor Bob Foster and Councilwoman Suja Lowenthal as they officially light the Holiday tree and recognize the Menorah and Kwanzaa display.
SEE
- Scrooge visiting from Shoreline Village.
- Blue the surfing blue Whale from the Aquarium of the Pacific.
- Santa surfing in from the North pole.
HEAR
“Wipe Out” to the hits of The Surfaris!
MMM…
Hot cocoa and treats from Borders.
