(Dec, 1, 2007) -- So...should this be called a "Holiday Tree" or a "Christmas Tree"? It's at the privately-run "Pike @ Rainbow Harbor" (Shoreline Drive @ Pine Ave.) and is to our knowledge privately-built. Not far away are Menorah and Kwanzaa recognitions (visible beyond the tree on the right side of the photo).

Next to the tree is a sign.

Visible on the sign (Dec. 1) was a note indicating that the "Tree lighting ceremony has been rescheduled to Friday, Dec. 7 at 6:00 p.m." Below that note the following was visible on the sign:

As we previously reported, as of Nov. 30 the website www.rainbowharborholidays.com stated in pertinent part:

...[S]ee The Pike's Christmas tree, Menorah and Kwanzaa display while enjoying musical entertainment and on Friday nights, experience the Aquarium's Shark Lagoon and hear live bands playing holiday tunes. Shopping, dining and family entertainment opportunities abound...
