Man (Adult) Shot, Area Elm Ave/Hullett St. (NLB)

(Dec. 28, 2011, updated 1:55 p.m.) -- LBReport.com has learned that a shooting took place on Monday night (Dec. 26) in the area of Elm Ave./Hullett St. in NLB.

LBPD Public Information Officer Lisa Massacani says that at about 10:33 p.m., a 36 year-old man was approached by several unknown suspects, one of whom produced a handgun and shot the victim.

He was transported to a hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

LBPD's investigation is ongoing...and anyone with information is asked to contact Violent Crimes Detective Luke Everts at 570-7250.

Things had been relatively quiet in NLB until November, when the following occurred:

11/23/11 Approx 1:50 a.m. 400 blk South St. Border 8th-9th dist. Residence struck by gunfire

11/23/11 Approx 8:30 p.m. 5600 block Elm Ave. 8th dist. Murder

11/24/11 Approx 8:35 p.m. 300 block Norton St. 8th dist. Assault w/ deadly weapon (no hit)

11/25/11 Approx 11:15 p.m. 53rd St/Cedar Ave. 8th dist. Attempted murder

11/26/11 Approx 4:30 p.m. 3200 block Poppy St. 9th dist. Vehicles struck by gunfire

11/26/11 Approx 5:30 p.m. 5500 block Ackerfield Ave. 8th dist. Murder

11/26/11 Approx 5:30 p.m. 2100 block South St. 8th dist. Male struck by gunfire
